Universal Home Build has found that over the last few decades, it has become increasingly more common for existing properties to be extended or converted and when doing so often the existing internal area of the home is converted to an open plan. In either of these scenarios, the load-bearing walls will require new steel supports specified by a Structural Engineer and installed by a specialist team.

Most of our projects have new structural steelwork installed. This is manufactured and supplied by one of our many local engineering firms all made to Grade A BA standard.

We can carry out a wide range of structural steelwork from providing and installing structural steel beams in homes, to supplying and installing steel for the structure of new buildings working from drawings provided by Architects and Structural Engineers.
